Sound ordnance B-8PT sub for the mother FW!

This thing Rocks guys. dont let the size of this powered sub fool you. I have it installed behind my seat and hits hard. I was skeptical at first but read all the reviews on crutchfield. Im very happy with it. plus im all about saving weight....

It has enough bass to shake the review mirror, Havent really tweaked it yet though.

Sound Ordnance™ B-8PT 120-watt compact powered subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

It fits perfectly behind the seat laying side ways. i can even reach my hand back and adjust the bass, freq and phase if need be.

I was looking at something like this at Crutchfield. I might have to look at this for my Z.

Ooo I like this option. I wanted something easy and compact.

Does it sound good for all types of music?

Prosport Gauges 08-19-2010 08:59 AM

It does for me but the crossover only goes down to 60hz. But honestly its perfect for me. I had this mount in the trunk area, then relocated it behind my seat and its WAY better.
It rounded out my system perfectly. Im running Polk Audio components in the front with polk tweets up top.

I only picked this up because of how small it was. I was stoked when i mounted right behind the seat laying sideways. Ill grab some pics soon.

Something that only goes down to 60 your better off with higher quality door speakers. Because of that is its limit than your going to have limited room and the sub may bottom out.

Prosport Gauges 08-19-2010 10:22 AM

I do have better door speakers And this sub doesnt bottom out at all with the music cranked up. Im no guru when it comes to speakers and subs etc...

I haven't got a chance to measure, but do you think this will fit under either seat?

6spd 08-19-2010 10:38 PM

what amp did you use with your setup?

bigaudiofanat 08-19-2010 10:45 PM

It is built in.

Are you confusing the lowest setting on the lp xover with the freq response of the subwoofer?

He didn't say the sub only goes down to 60, he said the crossover only goes down to 60, big difference. Crutchfield lists the frequency response as 40 to 200.

This will not fit under the passenger seat for sure, i tried. It will under the driver seat if its raised a bit but the speaker will make your whole seat shake. This is why i mounted it behind the seat laying sideways with the adjustments facing the door.
