Has anyone installed a backup camera w/stock nav?

Was looking around the BestBuy site and was wondering if it's a straightfoward install to add a backup camera to the stock nav unit? Thanks!

Likely will require a software update to the stock nav.

i dont hear about rear sensor possibility on this car, and even none rear camera???:ugh2:

he meant to say they have it as an option in japan. which means the car is probably already wired for one and the software can take it, probably is a key word here though.

i thought it came standard with navi like the G37.

thanks for answer.

When you said that this option already exist in japan, you talk about rear camera or rear sensor ??

and why nissan give not the possibility to buy this option in Us or Europe ??

i think i really need this kind of option because here in Paris the streets are narows

camera not sensors.

Even if the wiring already exists in the vehicle (which in this case I wouldn't expect that it does), the software between the Japanese cars and the US cars is different. Some programming will be required to make it work. If, however, you could get your hands on the hardware, I'm sure you can use the Japanese software and just switch it to English.

EDIT: By the way JDM means "Japanese Domestic Market". When you buy something that is JDM, it's originally meant for the Japanese market, not the US.

thanks Crash for those clear position.
But i found it's really strange in 2009 to have a car at 40K$ without this "Rear" possibility.

I hope in aftermarket you can use an "electromagentic" or sensor rear radar

There's plenty of the aftermarket sensors.
