Kicker subs are more for getting loud and not for SQ sound if you are looking for SQ tight bass look at image dynamics Q and even JL if you want to spend the money.

Square subs get loud but are muddy, if ur looking for clean sound, stay away.
OP. just come to jersey and Ill make you a carbon fiber enclosure

It's not because I'm trying to save money though, he practically begged me to let him build a custom one. Said he really enjoys doing it, and It will give me a box that noone else has, I'm game.

I've also been looking to getting a box that fits against the bar for the Z...how hard is it to wire the sub and amp considering the stock system is Bose and if you have navigation? I have went to several places to get price quotes and the installation was outrageous, even more than the products itself. This was because they said it was more challenging to wire around the Bose and everything, anyone have details on this?

Hope I don't get flamed for this, but I went with the upward firing wicked cas box, because the others look like @ss... They take up room, block your rear access from the drivers seat.

I see a lot of opinions about poor bass, but nothing to substantiate it. I like my bass tight and hard, and this setup hits.

I've got mine installed and it sounds so sweet. Nice and tight, I could not imagine any more bass is really needed. Plus you can't even tell it's in there.
(I'm running the JL Audio 13TW5, 13.5" Sub, with poly fill in the enclosure, powered by a JL Audio 900/5)

For testing purposes, I placed my rear firing JL 12" wedge box. I honestly cannot say it added any more bass. Maybe a little boom, but thats the sound you get out of that wedge.

i have a 10w7 that i wanna run but it seems like sounds space might be an issue for the box.

That would'nt work in Wicked CAS box, a 10w7 is an 8.5" min mounting depth for clearance.

I have my zenclosures box and amp kit enroute right now, should hopefully have them by this weekend for an install. I'll post pics when I'm done with it.

I too have this set up.. And I went from a 2 10" Zenclosures box to this..

Both sounded great, but the thing I noticed was that with the zenclosures box, its like you can hear the boom coming from the enclosure itself, kind of hard to explain but the its like the box itself had a sound to it besides what the subs were doing.. probably because the box is so close to your head.

with the wickedCAS enclosure I dont hear that anymore.

My 2-cents: I absolutely love my JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3 hooked up to a JL Audio 250 Slash amp. (Pics are in my album)
I am currently listening to Megadeath (sorry) and the bass hits hard enough to satisfy my heavy metal tastes. But, what do I know? Do what makes you happy!
