Nissan/Subaru Receiver Wire Harness For select 2007-up Nissan and 2010-up Subaru models at Crutchfield.com

You'd think if there were HU's frying right and left from bad installs, they would know about it.

I'll probably still pick up one to be safe. I remember in my old RSX, I just bypassed the BOSE amp entirely.

I think the install would have been OK without the PAC for awhile, but over time I think problems would developed. The PAC also gives you more tuning and volume control. For $30 it was worth the extra time for the install and fitting.
When you order your wiring harness make sure it has a orange wire(not all do ) the orange wire is for day/night illumination for your new radio or auto dimming for night time. you can do without it but those touch screens can get pretty bright at night..
I actually picked up 2 wiring harnesses so I could pull some pins out of the extra harness and plug them in to the harness I would use for my install. this made installing the Axxess steering wheel controller much easier. i did not have to cut into the factory harness at all, just made sure I labeled the new pins on my aftermarket harnes to match up with the facory harness steering whell controlls. all wiring could be basicallly done outside the car and just plugged in during the install.

bump, has anyone been able to get the Metra ASWC to work with the Bose system? How was the wiring done?

Proper pin for your Z's audio wiring harness with Axxess

hope this comes through and may have been posted before, but this is the correct pin out for the Z. Axxess site is incorrect. If you want your access steering wheel controls work use the attached diagram for your Z wiring harness.:driving:

Does this help? This worked for me. the layout is looking at the wireside of the harness not the pin side. I think thats right:eekdance:
Was able to manually program after I used this approach.

Hope this si abit more clear:driving:
