Blue tooth problems

Are any of you having problems with not being able to talk on your blue tooth due to road noise? I had Dynamat and Dynapad installed by some pros and it looks good however it hasn't knocked the noise down enough to use my blue tooth. Any ideas???

As always, many thanks

Trade your car for a Lexus. The Z is just a noisy girl. You could consider changing the tires out...the Bridgestones are very loud tires.

I do not have a problem. Do you have a touring or are you talking about an earpiece? If earpiece, I can understand you not being able to hear.

I just had a high end Pioneer with all the goodies (GPS, Rear cam, etc...) installed. Works great except the blue tooth. The microphone was installed next to the rearview mirror. Very clean install... Just can't talk when driving.

I see were your problem is.
I have the Touring with the Bluetooth and Nav, and I have no issues talking, with the windows down on the freeway or up.. Sorry to hear your having issues.

I'm having very similar problem....people on the other end say i sound "static-y" or "low in volume" I'm using a Blackbery....does the problem come from the phone itself or the vehicle bluetooth?

Aww, I was looking forward to using this feature.

Should of gotten them kenwood.

AK's and others that have gotten the kenwoods with the built in parrot blu tooth could talk threw a storm. They are one of the top blu tooth manufactures.

OP my opinion get a kenwood head unit. Or do what I do and just use a ear piece.

I have the 370ZR and can talk on my Bluetooth while driving with the top down on the interstate highway at highway speed with absolutely no problems! I placed my Pioneer microphone on the instrument panel………… maybe it’s the location of your microphone or your cell phone!

Wicked_Grin,
Are you using a "Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT"???
Several people had told me that they have no problems however they are using other HU's. After searching the net, I have found several other buyers having similiar problems with this unit. I guess my next problem is to figure out how I can get Pioneer to supply me with a newer unit that doesn't have these problems?
Many thanks for all the help.

Bigaudiofanat,

In the past, I have always had good luck with Pioneer products. I am starting to think that their quality is taking a dump.
With your background, do you have any ideas as to how I might fix this major problem??? Is this a problem with other brands as well?
As always, many thx.

I have a similar question. The quality of the bluetooth on my '09 is absolutely terrible. I have an iPhone4 (although I had the same quality on my iPhone 3G) and it is crystal clear when I am using the phone. But as soon as I switch to the bluetooth I can only hear about 1 in 3 words from anyone, and it's the same for the receiving person. I can switch back and forth between phone and bluetooth and the call quality is night and day.

It's not primarily road noise, although obviously that does have some impact. But the same person in the same moment can either hear me perfectly or can't understand a word I'm saying, depending on whether I'm using the phone directly or through bluetooth.

It's better (but still not great) if I'm stationary or moving slowly but it's not really the road noise that people are hearing - it's a muffled sound and a lot of cutting out.

I'm thinking of bringing it in to the dealer but I fear the old 'I can't see any problem' run-around. Then I had the good idea to get on the road and call the dealer with the bluetooth. When they tell me that they can't understand what I'm saying, I'll switch over to the phone directly and explain why I want to bring it in... :p
