Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT

For those interested in a new head unit. I found a post from fatwallet.com for a Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT. It states:

Pioneer is offering a $200 rebate on this unit:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rAudioVideo/In...

Rebate Info:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rAudioVideo/In...

Currently one of the lowest price on the net is at Amazon.com at $891. However, they are not an authorized dealer and if purchased through them you will not get the rebate. You will need to purchase from:

7" High Resolution WVGA Touch Panel Display 50 watts x 4 plus...

They have an online price matching system that will find the lowest price on the net. Just click on "Lowest Price Guarantee" and it will show the lowest price as Amazon. Click through and checkout and you will see the price drop from $1399 to $891.

$850 is about the lowest you'll find it online (pre-rebate)

I have access to these from an authorized Distributor locally and they're actually a little more (~$930), so that is a good deal. Just make 100% sure that they're an authorized dealer and you'll be fine.

Great h/u, I plan on getting one or the current equivalent down the line.

The bold part is very important, many places sell it for 800 or so but are not authorized dealers. I just paid 875 from Amazon (authorized dealer) and about to send off my 200 rebate.

Easy to install. I'd do it for beer.

Realize anyone buying this is getting technology that will be gone in <2 years. MSN Direct is ending Jan 1, 2012. So all your fancy traffic, weather, etc will be history. I'd never buy anything with MSN Direct until I heard the service was continuing or something compatible was replacing it.

Well MSN direct was not that good anyways, also 2 years in technology is a very very long time so anything could happen. Plus I will bet Pioneer (or someone else) will pump out an add on feature which will hook up to these units nicely, and in the end I never cared to use the traffic/weather/etc. options more just needing how to get somewhere.

Agreed, they already got the newer version of this unit comming out within 2-3 months and the only diff is the software and the model number. All hardware is the same. It will cost 150 dollars to buy the new software for bt110 but people always sell it on ebay for like 10 bucks so not a big deal. This is a bad @$$ system, it does not get much better than this. A car-puter does alot more but there is not a easy to use interface with quck load times etc. Promise you wont even use all the new features you will have on this bad boy.
**********By the way I'll take Budlight Bottles
