East Coasters

I'm pasting a post I placed on the mid-atlantic thread here also since it's appropriate for both places and I'd hate for anyone to miss out. For those outside of the DC Metro area, Myer Emco is a audio and video shop that has been in the area for 50 years and is going out of business as a result of the economy.

........As you may or may not have heard, Myer Emco is going out of business and is selling off their inventory. For all of you who have been waiting to upgrade your systems like myself, I believe the Gods are shining down upon us. I went to the Myer Emco at Baileys Xroads this afternoon and the manager said they just got a truckload of car audio in that they would have out on the floor Friday morning. Friday happens to be my AWS so I will be there first thing in the morning (they open at 10am so maybe not so 'first thing', hope to see some of you guys there.

Yea, I should be greedy with my knowlege and keep my mouth shut till I get what I want, but thass just not how I roll, happy shopping gentlemen.

the usual suspects; Kenwood, Alpine, Focal..... Don't think you'd be disappointed in the brands, If you are plannin on making the trip this weekend I'll take a lil inventory and post up when I return Friday.

There are multiple locations in the DMV: MyerEmco Audio Video

That'll lead you to em.

Went to Myer Emco last night, didn't trust that they'd wait to put out the car audio stuff and I was right. Prices were marked down between 20 and 30 percent for most stuff. I bought a Kenwood DNX6140 for $714, think it's a pretty good price, Crutchfield is selling it for $999. They only had 4 so I had to sh*t or get off the pot. I sh*t. They had a bunch of Boston Acoustic components, Alpine amps and speakers, JL Subs and all sort so single din head units. I'm probably gonna go back tomorrow to pick up some speaker. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the tables.
