It doesn't look like it based on the Garmin site, but your best bet would be to contact Kenwood. I wouldn't contact Garmin because they aren't very good at giving answers that aren't right out of the manual.

Man, I barely had my DDX-814 close to a year and they already plan to release the DDX-896. So fast!!! It'll be nice to hack it up and improve the user interface.

For those of you who haven't checked up lately on this unit, I'd suggest that you do. I'm getting ready to order one from Nazar (great guy to deal with BTW (it's me Nazar aka TreeFiddyZee :hello:)).
This thing is fully voice-controlled as well as all of the other bells-and-whistles.
For WICKED_GRIN, the unit has 6 pre-outs also.
From the manuals that I have looked at, I'm pretty sure that it uses the same harness as the older units. I currently have a DNX8120 and the diagrams look the same. Won't be 100% sure until I get it in hand, but it looks the same.
