Aftermarket Speakers, Which Setup

Hi all,

Just seeing what set up to go with. The stock speakers are like paper at times. Looking for replacement speakers and lil more power. I have a aftermarket Kenwood already. Any suggestions?

JL Audio. But they need to be amped up

Watching … I was quite amazed at how bad the stock "Bose" system in my Sport sucks.

Truth. Didn't expect much from previous Zs but was very let down with current speakers.

They aren’t that bad in the roadster. Best thing to do is put decent tyres on. Michelin Pilot Super Sports reduce the road noise

Unless you are looking for a lot of volume and thumping bass, there's nothing wrong with the Bose system, IMNSHO. Granted, it's not a great system, but it was designed to sound good to the '50+ male with disposable income' demographic. It might not be what you want, but it's not a bad system.

It comes down to your price range? What do you listen too? Are you going to add an amp?

You really cannot go wrong with JL Audio. Dynamat the panels first though

My Z is loud. Between the LTH's, tires and everything else. I gave up thinking about up grading the stereo. Can't hear it anyway.

Thanks for info. haven't had to worry about stereo noises since high school. I'm sure these panels are as cheap as the 350z so already got some left over lol.

If you really want good HiFi in the car, forget about Rear Speakers and double coat the panels in Dynamat so they clunk like an Audi

I wish I just simply had the Bose, unfortunately I don't, so its sounds like 2 coffee filter speakers with sound coming out of them. Not like huge on thumping, but like Bose level performance.
