The 09 head does not support DVD discs. The Navi screen will play video through the video inputs though.

From what I read no not unless you use the video jacks and are in park.

Speaking of the park handicap, is there anyway to disable this? I'm not about to watch video while driving but having to be stationary before operating the Sat Nav for directions is a real, real PITA.

You don't have to be stationary to operate the Nav system. Only stationary to show videos.

Clarification: You DO need to be stationary to input nav directions via the address fields etc. I have a friend with a G37s and the Nav; he has modded his system to bypass both the e-brake and speed sensors to be able to watch videos and enter nav info while moving. The down side is that the GPS does not update your position as accurately while in this mode as the speed sensor is disabled.
His mod required the disassembly of the console and the severing/modding of the wiring harness etc. Not extremely hard, but not for the faint of heart either.

As of right now not that I know of.

Does anyone know exactly what is required to get the XM weather? I noticed there is just an option added that says weather in the info screens. I went to Nissan and they first of all have NO idea what I was talking about. But said they thought I would need the whole system ($5500.00). I was thinking it was just maybe an upgraded XM receiverin the hatch? Does anyone know this answer?

So this won't be update-able for the '09 Nav, right?

Basically I bought a year too early...

Does anyone have a picture of the wiring harness for the 2010 nav? Either that or link to the wiring diagram showing pin connectors and colors.

J. Dub 02-16-2014 01:27 PM

Did he say the resolution in the 2010+ navs is greater then in the 2009's?

J. Dub 02-20-2014 05:29 PM

So the 2010 nav is a greater res then the 2009?
