wiring harness for my Z

Hello Folks...,

As i am interesed to upgrade the radio in my 2018 Z base model for the one with bluetooth and GPS model... is one of you can tell me what part number i need for the wiring harness.
Before 2018 there were only 4 speakers in the Z Base Model but now in the 2018 base model they upgrade for 6 speakers instead of 4 and now the Metra 70-7552 does not work anymore
Please help

Robert

Try the 70-7553, that's the one that got put in my 18.

I have a 2019 base Z... 70-7552 worked fine for me.

Wiring the harness there is Front left and right wires (+, -) and rear left and right wires (+,-) so 8 wires in total. They were all wired up. The aftermarket head unit's head unit also only had outputs for those 8 wires on the main plug.

No that's if you have the bose system

OP, are you counting dash speakers as their own speaker? It's still a 4 speaker setup. If someone added rears that's a different story. Could be they bypasssed all the factory wiring in which case you're going to be doing some new wiring yourself. Don't try try the 7553 unless you're certain you have the bose system

The newer models do have 6 speakers according to the spec sheet on Nissan's website. Here is a snippet from the Canadian site.

I've used the balance fader between front and rear on the stock head unit and sound does come from the back.

Did you try the aftermarket head unit you bought
And if so...is the 70-7552 worked?
Thanks

Yes, I used tested it with the "listening position" menu in my headunit and set it to 100% rear, there was sound coming from behind the seat, albeit not the best (same as stock head unit). I doubt the speakers they put back there are the best quality.
