Whoops

I actually left my car in the PHX airport for three days and
the windows were down! Apparently the keys in my pocket
had pushed down on the unlock button long enought to open
the windows, since it will do that with the remote. I had no
idea it did this until I got back. Thank god noone stole the
car or anything in it. This was my old 350 z. Now I have the
370z and it does the same thing. Anyone know how to prevent
this from happening?

Keep the key out of your pocket until you get to a safe distance. That is all I can think of.

A stealth install really helps too. My car looks totally stock inside except for my double din Alpine in the dash. My subwoofer is bolted to the frame of my car from the inside. It would take me at least an hour to take the sub box out of my car.

Definitly bolt down what ever you can becasue theives have to move fast and they will take the easy stuff first. I have learned the hardway after having my stuff jacked twice!

Just remember if they can not get it out they will destroy it. Nice head unit on a side note.

Unfortunately you cant protect your self completely but there is insurance to take care of damage. My car is garaged and covered most of the time and I had LoJack installed in case it gets boosted. At this point if it happens it happens.

Aha, the envious crowd can make life miserable for you!

remove the battery and carry it with you on the plane.

You all have great ideas! lol. Maybe I should just take the car with me on the plane too! haha.

Oh well, I guess there is no fix for this one.

You would be suprized, 95% of people out there have no idea what stillen is or even heard of them. 9 out of 10 people ask me what Stillen is. Not too worried about getting my exhaust system stolen.
