Thanks for your reply. Sounds like I need to get a 2 channel amp and 2 crossovers or a 4 channel amp and wire all 4 speakers (2 dash/2 door) to their own individual channels?

Gonna do some research on crossovers. See if I can teach myself something.

see my post above?

Suggestion .. get rid of the stock speaker wire! Get some decent guage wire, and separate speakers to 4 channels. Then you know you have good foundation for system and have ohms and phase correct.
There are how to threads on site for rewire.

This seems like the most frugal solution for the moment as I plan on adding an amp eventually just not yet. So splice some (18 gauge?) wire off the wiring harness power and ground and set the doors to rear LR and the tweets to front LR and utilize the HU crossover. Seems simple enough. Will have to find those threads so I can figure out how to access the dash from the bottom.

Thanks for everything guys. This is the first car I’ve had where I’m determined to do everything myself and I’m sorta learning as I go.

http://www.the370z.com/audio-video/1...ll-videos.html video #2 helps. I know there is another I had seen when I did this last year if I find it I'll post. These diy videos cover a lot and are great starting point.
