09' Nav IPOD Interface Cable Video Playback?

I have been researching and Googling this for the past few hours and can't find any confirmation that I can play video from my IPOD using the Nissan IPOD Interface cable. I've only found confirmation that I can play video using the IPOD AUX cable. Can anyone confirm for me before I purchase the $50.00 Nissan interface cable whether I can play video on the 2009 NAV screen or not?

Thank you, below is the IPOD Interface cable I'm referring to..

I am almost certain you cannot. It only allows you to control your iPod from the screen, radio controls, and steering wheel controls. Same as if an iPhone with music was connected via Bluetooth. To get video to display, you would have to connect the ipod to the video input connector in the center console, and be parked.

It seems strange that it wouldn't considering the RCA cable setup uses the same IPOD port as the Nissan Interface cable does.

Owning a 2009, the Nav in our cars vs the later ones is ****, and it shouldn't be surprising that it has limited functionality.

I was looking into swapping mine out with a 2012 but everyone wants too much money for the OEM 2012 unit.

Agreed on the **** part.

Is it possible to swap out the head units without extensive modification? I feel like it won't be as easy as a simple swap out.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. There is a L/R/Video RCA jacks, and an IPOD interface port. The IPOD interface cable that came with the car doesn't attach to the RCA's

There's a little bit of pin changeout on the harness, but everything fits from what I've read.

And you need the screen, the head unit, and the ipod interface as well as the GPS antenna.

I'm referring to the IPOD's port. This is located on the IPOD itself.

Both the RCA cable and the NISSAN Interface cable plug into the IPOD's proprietary bull **** port. So why can't both cables carry video is my question. Why does only the RCA and not the Nissan Interface cable carry video.

The 09' Nav already has the IPOD interface and GPS antennae. Are you saying you need to swap those out as well?

Yes. 2010 and up use USB and I think the GPS antennae is different, along with the main molex pinout on the back of the headunit.

It would be really amazing if the ones who did the swap could create a write up that documents the equipment used, the pin changes in the harnesses, all of it so that others (who are bold enough) could reproduce the results or allow the community understand the details better.
