adapter to retain bluetooth steering wheel controls?
Hi All,
I am looking to upgrade the headunit in my 2017 z sport/bose system. I am looking at double-din units with apple carplay functionality. I was hoping to keep the factory usb slot and use that as the input for my aftermarket unit. After a bit of research, it looks like I should be able to use it:http://www.the370z.com/audio-video/1...rt-2015-a.html Also, I know I will need an adapter to retain the steering wheel controls. And I know most adapters will be able to be programmed to keep the volume/source control buttons. But, my question is, is there an adapter that will also let me keep/retain the Bluetooth buttons (ie anwer call, end call, etc)? |
Check out the idatlink maestro. To retain the call buttons you have to jump a few wires on the bluetooth module in the trunk.

Thanks! This might be exactly what I am looking for.
I wont be installing it myself, but I just wanted to see if it was possible to keep functionality of all factory buttons. |
As an alternative to jumpers on the Bluetooth module plug, I used an adapter plug from PAC Audio. It's the BT-SWC-NI1 Bluetooth SWC retention harness for select Nissan vehicles. At $19.95, it's a little pricey but it will make putting the factory head unit back in easier since I won't need to remove all the jumpers and rewrap the wires. (That's assuming I lose my mind one day and decide to sell the car.)

You can even change what the buttons do in the steering wheel. I opted for volume for the silver up/down, track change and preset change for the middle, and manual search for the bottom.
