Do you need auido/video work done in SoCal?

Hi,

So, our resident audio guru, Bigaudiofanatic, connected me with a guy here in L.A.

His name is Scott Butler and he recently corrected a horrible install that had been done in my Z. He re-did wiring, re-applied sound dampner.

Not only that, he re-tuned my whole system and now it sounds AMAZING!
:happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::

Scott's attention to detail is incredible, he has a great ear and his prices are fair and reasonable.

He treated my car like it was his own.

Seriously, I give this man the highest recommendation, 5 Stars all the way.

Scott is also mobile so, if you need some work done, give him a call or text

He's a good guy, glad we found him. I couldn't get there to fix what another shop had done to the poor z's audio system.

Scott now has his mobile audio company online.

Seriously, if you need audio or video work on your Z, I highly recommend this guy.

Good stuff! Now ....

If only someone had a recommendation like this out here in Maryland!

(I have a real problem with some of the shops out here... The big one in Frederick, MD, closest to me, seems to be way more focused on selling window tinting. Their only car audio installer is some guy that's only in the shop about once a week -- and 90% of the equipment you want is stuff they don't stock.)

Tried a shop in Rockville, MD and other than the fact he stocks some decent JL Audio gear, I can't recommend them either. He insisted on charging me full MSRP pricing on a PAC interface that I can buy online, all day long, for over $100 less than his asking price -- and then he had to order it anyway. (If I supplied my own, he refused to warranty any of their installation work.) They did a real sloppy install on the amp I had them put in too. Didn't even fasten it down under the passenger seat so it just slid around.

The one guy I knew did mobile installs out in this general area has been in and out of the hospital with medical issues, so couldn't help me when I spoke to him.

It's just not a good scene up here for car audio ....

Thanks :tiphat:, I've been all the way out in CA 3 times. I don't mind traveling to install. :driving:

First, big thanks to Rumble and Big for the recommendation for an awesome audio guy in SoCal.

Scott has been absolutely great to work with. He's driven out to my house a few times now (1.5 hours away) so I could hear his system and to get an idea of what I wanted. I've also bothered him quite a few times over the phone and he's always been happy to help. You can tell from talking to him that he loves audio and he pays attention to detail. He put together a build for me within my budget and the install (and tune) will happen within the next couple of weeks. His prices are very reasonable and fair. In fact, all of my build is being purchased through Scott (the whole Bose system is being replaced).

I'm 100% confident the install will be excellent. I'll post pictures when it's all done, but I just wanted to bump this thread for Scott. Hit him up if you need parts or an install.

Audio Install Done (Almost)

I have my audio install 95% complete. It was done by Scott, owner of Bespoke Mobile Audio. Absolutely amazing install and absolutely awesome guy to work with. I couldn't be happier with the turn out. He finished some initial tuning late last night and I've spent about 6 hours in my car since then. The sound is phenomenal and the speakers are still breaking in. I’ve been giggling like a schoolgirl listening to the speakers. Scott has my highest recommendation and I'll be happy to show his work to anyone local in the SoCal area thinking about hitting him up. (I said the install is 95% complete because Scott is coming back to tune the system again once the speakers break in and he's still building a fiberglass sub enclosure for me)

Headunit: Kenwood DDX574BT
Amps: Zapco ST-4X SQ and ST-850XM II
DSP: Zapco DSP-Z8 IV
Woofers: Audible Physics Brahma 6W
Tweeters: Audible Physics V2 Brahma limited edition 2"
Sub: Dayton Audio UM10-22
Scott handmade Mogami RCAs, adapters, etc. for the install.

On to some of the pics (I left the sub out since it’s in a temp box).
