Anyone try wireless back-up camera?

I need to get a back up camera but the local Cartronics place is talking well over $400.

I am also reading about some easy wireless cameras that you can use with your cellphone and ap and also looking at other alternatives since I have a screen in my car, works with bluetooth for phone, etc.

Any recommendations?

If you don't mind pulling the wire you can get an aftermarket camera for around 20 bucks off amazon.

they're very hit or miss... The one I've had the least problems with when I worked as an installer was the "Peak" (yes the same people who make anti-freeze) one on amazon that costs like $60

Install it yourself, it's not that difficult. I just put mine in and ran the cabling a couple of days ago. (Thanks DeliriousClam - freebies thread!)

The cheap one on amazon comes integrated with a replacement license plate bulb housing. Looks OEM.

Just run the cabling through the tail light grommet. It's easy to access without pulling the rear bumper. From there its a pretty straight shot up the center console to the stereo.

In my review they are as stated above hit or miss. Depends on what kind of interference is around you and how well the product was built to cope with that interference. IMO take the extra 10 minutes and hard wire one. It's not that much more work.
