My Nissan 370z full Audio Install

Hello 370z owners

I recently got my 370z I will be uploading photos of the car on a later dates but know I am wanting to do an installing video of all the modifications I plan on doing. The first part is audio and sound proofing since everyone knows the sound density in the 370Z isn't the best.

This is a video of the start of the build.
In this video I will be showing what I am using to install in my 370Z.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvv9tuHaZdk

With two new upgrades on the way

* Vibe Black Death 15inch 4500watt 1500rms Sub.
* NVX more cables for the extra amps.
They should be here in the next few months so I will be posting some photos of those so everyone can see.

If you need ask anything just comment down below or on the youtube channel

thank you I hope this post will be helping in the long run.
PS this will take time.

so I got a sponsor for the sound proofing/deadener.
These are the sample products I received and also will be using in my 370z.
I will be using around 36 sheets of dyno mat and 6 sheets of acoustic underlay. The acoustic underlay is the thick dyno mat in the photos. this also makes it soft when you put your feet down in the car.
The acoustic underlay is only going on the front area of the car at the foot well. What I have left over will go to other areas in the car, maybe the back since the sub will be there.

VIBE Power Cap 3.0
helps the sub get all the power it needs so I don't lost bass and headlights dim and inside electronics to cut out.

◾» Digital Display 10 – 18 volts.
◾» Reverse polarity protection.
◾» Power distribution block allows 2 x 4 AWG negative inputs.
◾» 2 x 4 AWG positive inputs and 2 x 8 AWG positive inputs.
◾» Ideal for bass systems that typically struggle with poor current delivery from the battery.

AZZA, do not use a capacitor! No need for one and your putting strain on your charging system for no reason.

RonRizz 10-13-2015 05:31 PM

He speaks the truth. Your amp has all the capistance it needs. They are strictly " jewelry" for your install.
FYI, the hid headlights are ballast controlled, so if they start dimming, you have bigger issues than too much bass!! Lol

azza12311 10-13-2015 07:34 PM

oh k thanks guys . well with my sub is 4500 watts peak, I bought a new one.. The system has a lot of speakers you don't think it will put to much stain on the Alternator and battery?.
What I said in the video was from my last car. The skyline r34 use to dim a lot when the sub kicks in. The skyline only had 90amp Alternator whats the 370zs one?

RonRizz 10-14-2015 03:37 AM

Your sub may be 4500 watts power handling, but your Kenwood amp is only rated at 500 to 4 ohms, 900 at 2, so you will be just fine without a cap, or an alternator upgrade. I believe it is a 150 amp alternator....

azza12311 10-14-2015 04:49 AM

well an upgraded alternator is around $600 for 270 amps from nations starter & alternator. The kenwood amp is 900 at 2 ohms. The sub is 4500 peak and 1500 rms. That meaning the amp couldn't keep up for what the sub can take. I don't mind buying a new amp anyways . Also Ron we cant forget the other 2 amps and rest of the speakers. Also that's right 150 amp stock.

RonRizz 10-14-2015 10:49 AM

I'm running 4 amps, a total of 1500 watts rms. No issues whatsoever.

azza12311 10-14-2015 04:57 PM

I will be running 3 amps but a total of 2450 RMS.. So I might be doing 1k more rms but should be fine . Keen to start this build. Also thanks heaps ron helping out . I will be posting more upside down photos in the next few days.

Vibe BlackDeath 6X9
One of the best 6x9 I have ever listen to. They are crazy loud and it sounds like you have a 10inch sub in the back Its so clear and the clarity is outstanding. Also I was only testing with one. So its going to be a scary day when I have both of them going haha.

The spec list :
◾Speaker Size: 6.25 x 9.25″ (150 x 222mm)
◾200 watts RMS
◾600 watts PEAK
◾Frequency Response: 30Hz-25KHz

amazing speakers. If you looking for 6x9s honest have a look at these and they are also super cheap.

PS photos will be up later

Still don't know how to fit it though.

azza12311 10-23-2015 05:54 PM

Good new I have received my new Sub. The best part was they send me the wrong one. It was meant to be Vibe Black death 15 inch spl. But I got Vibe black death bubonic 15 inch. its vibes top of range sub. I gave it a little test yesterday with no sub box and went amazing such a clean sound for a sub without a box. Photos will be up soon.

RonRizz 10-23-2015 06:56 PM

I'm interested to see how you fit a sub that requires a Massive enclosure volume in the 370 for sure. You may have to remove the hatch and add a pickup truck cap! Lol.
On a more serious note, there is absolutely no way you can tell what a subwoofer will sound like outside of an enclosure. Cant happen. I'm sure that monster will sound unbelievable once its in one, though.......

azza12311 10-24-2015 06:24 AM

hahah tell me about it. The sub weights 27.4kgs, The sub needs enclosure volume 4.5 cubic feet, Port area 70 square inches, Port length 20* ..... So this will be fun to install. I got the whole back part of the car. Only having to share one amp. ... that would be a cool I dear. Cut the back part and make it as a ute tray and put a window behind the seats .... well I used the car as a enclosure closed all the windows and doors hahahaha it worked a little bit

I bought 30 sheets of second skin pro, 4 LLP, and 4 sheets of overkill all from second skin just going to see how much they cover. Any ideas on how to get things like the plastic covers for the hatch to seal back exactly how it started I'm getting a little resistance due to the foam inside the panels now

Sounds good to me mate. The tool I use is
CAR Door Panel Upholstery Trim Clip Remover Plastic Fastener Removing Tool | eBay

Its a clip remover to be able to take the panels off. It also stops clips and panel damage. Also wear some gloves. If not your hand will have a few cuts at the end. One more thing mark where bot wholes are as well. good luck mates. its heaps of fun

Yeah I got the tool to take em out, I guess the foam I put on the plastic panels is keeping them from sealing back flush
