Teching out my Sport

What's up everyone! I just got me a new '16 Sport :driving:

I would like to get all the tech goodies in here since I'm upgrading from a Prius and miss my bluetooth audio streaming (not just calls) and the back up camera :(
  1. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best head unit to pair with a front/back camera?
  2. I also wanted to get the home link mirror to open my garage, should I go with OEM or aftermarket?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

1. It's all preference to what head unit you want. Pioneer, alpine, JVC, Kenwood, and so on. Just stay away from the cheap ones like Jensen. Camera I would look at the kenwoods or Rydeen.

2. Not sure about this one but I would do OEM

Homelink worked well for me - after I installed an up-to-date receiver on the door (my opener is at least 25 years old). There is a slight pause (1-2 seconds) between pushing the button and the signal going out but not a big deal.

Congrats, I just got the same 2016 sport 3 weeks ago. I went with the Kenwood DNN992 and like it a lot, there is a small learning curve but not too bad. Kenwood does love their cameras, my first camera was not a kenwood camera and it was junk so I am going with the Kenwood CMOS 310 and the radio allows you to make adjustments through the HU. For a less expensive camera you could do a CMOS 230. Looking for a homelink mirror myself they seem to sell some used ones at Z1 that I have seen for a reasonable price.

Thanks everyone!

I'm leaning towards Kenwood, solely because they offer the cameras. I'd question the compatibility with anything else.

Does anyone know how much the OEM Homelink mirrors are?

My local dealer has it listed at $690 direct from Nissan, but they have a 25% off coupon right now (ESTORE2015) that you could use on it:

In-mirror RearView Monitor with HomeLink® and Digital Compass
