already done

There is a company with a working prototype and pre-orders for this year. I think is called Brainiac. You will have to really innovate choose how you will compete with this company given that you are way behind in progress.

You are partially correct frankely, Workshop 12's Brainiac is a great product and they do have pre-orders for the 350Z's, but not for the 370Z yet. They have actually posted a thread you can find here in the audio/video area. It was even discussed a few comments up in this thread. I personally welcome others to do something similar. It's great! I know I waited a long time for someone to come up with something like this before I decided to do my own thing. Brainiac does have one large leap in front of me with their interface being complete and used for other vehicles. But that is fine I will take the time to make certain that our interface is done right and not try to rush to be the first to the market. There are a lot of Z owners out there and I feel confident that once Valkyrie Systems is ready to launch we will not have a problem getting clients. And if not? This whole thing started for me to get one for my car, so that goal will have been met!

Sorry guys with the weather and work here in DC I wasn't able to get this posted the other day. But I had the chance to get a sneak preview of the media interface earlier this week and thought I would share it with you all!http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...4f30377154.jpg

I cannot wait until you have a finished product :tiphat:

You make me happy that I have resisted the urge for almost five years to tear apart the dash for HU install and/or cubby modification :D

This is awesome. Keep up the great work! keep us posted.

This is gonna look amazing when done.
I agree tho that the top side is a bit to tall even to see the gauges but if you can (as you said) work your magic and lower that a bit it's look very very good. Also I see the lower side needs to cover the spaces a bit better.
This makes me be thankful I haven't tried any crazy things to replace my navigation system and gives me hope I can have a good sound system with working Bluetooth and all (because I have an 09 and Bluetooth streaming is non existent).
Amazing job tho, I'll follow you on Facebook, please keep us all updated.

Well with the snowpocalipse we had here in DC I took some time off and enjoyed the snow with the family. Made some Shock Top snowmen and had a blast!

But last night I got back to it and started work on the body filling and correcting. It's taking some time but as anyone who has dealt with bondo knows it takes a while lol!

You are going to hate bondo and sandpaper. You did a damn good job so far though.

Hahaha no lie I already regret it! That's why as I make the bondo changes I am updating my model for future 3d reprints.

Next time use less of it. Better to do multiple small application and sand than having to sand a glob.

Buy plenty of sand paperwork and a palm sander. For the circle areas. Find something round and as close to size as possible. Roll the sandpaper around it and sand the hole. The hole will come out a lot better that way.

Definitely some good info! I will be on the lookout for something for the holes!
