Need help with jumper pins on LC2i.
 

I finally opened it up to take a look at the jumper pins. There are 4 different jumper pins. I'm adding 2 subs to my boss/nav system using the existing spare tire Bose sub input. What do I need to do with the jumper pins?

you shouldn't have to mess with them.

Ok well I set it all up. Used the purple and sky blue wires going to factory sub and to the LC2i. But it doesn't sound punchy and the subs cant seem to handle much. I know that's not the problem cause they're good JL subs. I think it's the settings, but I've tried it all. Can't get it to sound punchy or take more power.

Give their tech line a call, that's what it's for, they will help you out.

I was told to connect the purple and blue to left input and wires from left input over to right and then on the other side connect your rca to left and right

When connecting one pair of sub wires to your LC2i, you will connect to the left input (the information online is correct). You can then split that incoming signal over to the right input so you don't have to use a y-splitter on the output - this will be fine for your Bose amp.

I suggest listening to your system with the Bass level set to 12 o'clock - then move the AccuBASS level around (with Threshold all the way clockwise) until you achieve the sound you want. Once AccuBASS is dialed in, unplug the LC2i from your amp and maximize signal using the Bass level as you described below: head unit to 3/4 volume, increase Bass Level until Maximize light flickers, then back off just enough so the light goes out. Reconnect to your amp and fine-tune. You should start with your amp gains all the way down.

manually split the signal wires coming in - so take one pair of +/- into the left channel and split over to the right. You could really just use some short wires to take the signal from the left channel screw terminal and plug those into the right channel.

AccuBASS is not the overall bass output for the LC2i - it is an EQ. AccuBASS should be dialed in to taste, then the output level of the LC2i is controlled by the ACR-1 once you've dialed in the Bass level. AccuBASS Level and Bass Level are different. Bass Level is the knob that controls the output at the Bass RCAs on the LC2i. AccuBASS, again, is the EQ adjustment made to your signal.

Great reply. Thanks! I'll try it tomorrow. My concern was all this speak about low level/high level/jumpers and all that. I've hooked up quite a few systems over the years but that all went over my head.

Only jumper to play with is the one on the outside for the GTO enable or bypass
If you don't mind me asking where did you install yours. I just got mine delivered today

Lol my amp and LC2i are both sitting on top of the box temporarily within reach while I tune it. But it all fit in that styrofoam(I had to remove it)area below my box. So once I'm good I just gotta shorten the wiring. But it doesn't sound good at all, at this point the stock sub sounds better than 2-10" JLs.

Wonder if you Could use an electric device meter like to tune

Well in my case I believe it's a wiring or jumper pin issue. Problem is, I haven't seen a thread with all the answers on this LOC.

Seen that one. But since we have a Bose system everyone has been complaining about how different they do things. And it being a BMW forum I figured they have a Harmon Kardon or something similar system it would be different. So I didn't think it would apply here, hi/low pass and all that talk.

Ok I installed it today adjusted the gain until flickering stopped (12 o clock) and accu bass cranked. Only problem is when I use addon remote knob and bass is high stereo off I can hear a hum from sub unless I turn the gain completey down on remote knob or turn gain down even more on amp

Turn accu bass off, your basically pre clipping the signal with that.

Does that mean then I can't use the remote knob no more if accu bass is turned off.
Big do you know what the max voltage for rca input on the alpine mrp2000 ?

Remote knob should still work. Max input voltage for rca is printed on your gain control dial. Typically they are 8 volts, but there are exceptions.

Talked to alpine tech turns out max voltage input is 4volts.
Does that mean lc2i shouldn't be putting out more than for volts. To measure I put dmm in ac. Is that correct? Could be the reason I get humming noise when stereo is of but the remote knob cranked up.

Turned the gains down on lc2i. When I in plug the remote gain knob humming goes a away but when I plug it back it comes. Any one recommend different remote gain knobs. Looking to put it in between the heated seats switch on centre console have an empty slot
