Can i removed the spare tyre.?

Hi Friends, good morning,i would like to know,is it possibe to place the Bose subwoofer without the spare tyres.?Thanks.

Why would you even wast your time with a bose sub? Also I do not understand teh question that well.

azn370z 10-16-2009 12:52 PM

I think he was asking if the stock Bose sub that sits on top of the spare tire needs to sit on the spare.

bigaudiofanat 10-16-2009 12:54 PM

Than I would say yes it probably does. But than again how would it sit there when your using the spare tire.

You can remove the spare, but will need to find some way to secure the sub box so it doesn't shift around while driving.

without the Spare Tire to secure it, it would move around and rattle and annoy the crap out of you.

shabarivas 10-16-2009 01:31 PM

HAHA lol wait just so i understand correctly - You want to save weight on your car so you are REMOVING the spare... but you are going to keep that POS heavy sub still? Seems stupid to me... I would think if you are trying to save weight you would remove ALL the crap out of the trunk... removing just the spare (~30lbs?) is not going to do **** to your car...

bigaudiofanat 10-16-2009 01:34 PM

I agree the bose piece of junk sub should go as well.

zfokaiz 10-16-2009 01:38 PM

and I'd think if you don't do something about it every time your sub beats its gonna flap and shake the plastic/cardboard and mats in your trunk. plus can it even get enough air down there?

Chan Chee Hoe 10-17-2009 09:34 AM

Oh yes,i want to get rid of the spare tyre, but i wonder can the subwoofer 'rest' on the tyrewell instead of the spare tyre.?

FuszNissan 10-17-2009 02:45 PM

It will move all over while driving. You will need to secure it some how

you will need a spacer to mount the sub with no tire. also, why not keep it? were all not looking for a sub to shake the interior loose. i love my sound system- clean and loud enough not to replace it.

sub is about 4 lbs, the spare tire is 45. id rather empty the washer fluid out and keep the sub :ughdance:

bigaudiofanat 10-17-2009 05:25 PM

Why not keep it? I ask why keep it? You might say that it is a good sounding system and that might be for you. But 70% of us are not looking to shake the car loose just looking for a real system rather than the dinky bose system that can not play anything without fading something out of the music. If you want to keep it that is your opinion and your choice. You will have to figure out somehow to secure it while you are driving.
