Backup sensor installed

Best $40 I ever spent. We all know rear view in our car sucks. I have the Bose system so I didn't want to disturb the stock look in the cabin. Even though I would love a touch screen it would never look as clean as the stock system. So backup camera was out of the question. Thanks to this sensor I didn't have to drill any wholes in my bumper or change the head unit. I used the backup camera install DIY on here to get an idea of how to hook it up. Finding the tail light wire in the back was the hardest part since I didn't have a meter to test the power but once I located it (found a simple way to do it BTW) the instill was easy and clean. Now I can back up into parking spots and not worry about hitting those stupid cement blocks. I highly recommend this thing.

I was actually thinking about adding something similar to this to my Z, I have the Nav with the rear view cam and for the life of me can't understand why they don't add the rear sensors. Especially like you said the rear view is limited. The combo of rear cam and sensors makes it full proof. Any chance you can add some pics of it on your car so we can see what it looks like?

Also when the sensors start to beep, do they get faster as you get closer to the object or is it just the same tone no matter where it is?

Thanks this post inspired me to look into front parking sensors, found the curb alert good stuff.

Let me know how it turns out. that was my original intention but I'm still new at all this and didn't want to mess something up

Any other options recently on front or back sensors? ( last post 2015) I am looking for something tasteful, license plate is OK but I don’t love it. I certainly am not drilling any holes in front or back bumper I’m wondering if there’s something that can be low mounted barely seen. I love to see some pictures if others have attempted this.

The one posted above is still available on Amazon but I have this backup camera which is integrated into the LP light and is much less visible than the frame type. I use with an aftermarket Pioneer HU, I don't need beeps, just need to see directly behind and lower than the back glass allows.
