An early XMAS present: TheNismoZ - Ultimate Nismo Z Owners Community

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I have been working on this small project for a little while now. I started this project end of Summer 2009 hoping to make it public sometime in September or October. But as you know, my dad suffered a massive heart attack in the first week of October and went though an open heart surgery and some more complications. He spent one month in the hospital and now slowly recovering. This incident has pushed the release date of this site and almost stopped all my input into it.

So, without any further delay, let me introduce a blog/forum site that's dedicated to Nismo 370z owners - TheNismoZ.com. I think till this date there's NO dedicated forum for the Nismo Z owners. Some "other" Z forums has small subsections but that's about it. I always felt that they have NO WHERE to go and have a enthusiast chit-chat about their awesome AUTECH Nismo Zs. I loved the Nismo 350Z. I also have a lot of weakness for the Nismo 370z for it's beautiful design. I think AUTECH did a fantastic job on both of these cars.

Also, there's another reason for this site. Every time we have a downtime in our The370Z forum, I always hear people say "it was the longest x hour ever" or " I had to go to x or y forum just to pass time" etc etc. Well now, you can come to this site when there's a downtime at The370Z.com. This will make your time go faster and you'll still be with your friends from The370Z.com.

I know some of you experienced an unexpected downtime today (around 0100 - 0200 hours) in the morning and I truly apologize for not giving any heads up. We are working on it to solve this new script related problem. Once this is fixed we are going to focus on the "older" database error issue that many of the forum members experience usually at midnight and rarely during the day. Right after that we plan on moving to a bigger and better server with lighting fast browsing and image uploads. (though it will significantly increase my hosting cost :( )

While these are all positive things but most of them WILL require multiple downtime :(. So, that's why I thought it's important for me to provide another place where you can hang out and talk to your colleagues. If I remember correctly, I think someone told me that they felt like they were a child without home when we had downtime for the the370z forum software update :icon17:

Nismo owners can still post their questions here on the forum in the Nismo 370z subsection (added today) as the new place is still VERY new.

:shakes head: I can't concentrate today. Too much going on I guess.

Yup, feel free to stop by if you're bored or this site is down.

I would like everyone to at least BOOKMARK that site so that when this site goes down for maintenance, you know where to go
.

keep in mind, you'll have to register an account. there are like 400 members right now already so hurry up and get your names!

Got my name, I am surprised you are doing two websites.
I can understand having a dedicated "Nismo" site though.

Thanks theDreamer.

I really love the homepage blog with forum jump method. If I were to do the370Z again, I would probably have it the same way. Kinda like Camaro5 or bimmerpost.

I think time has come for a dedicated site for the Nismo owners. I know people didn't care much when Nissan announced Nismo 350Z since it's only 1500 limited run but with Nismo 370Z, Nissan didn't EVEN wait a full year! 6 months after releasing regular 370Z, they released Nismo 370Z. I think this site will bring ALL the Nismo owners together. They NO LONGER have to share space with other 370Z or 350Z owners. Though they are welcome to post in our forum for the time being as the other site is very new and may not have enough response in threads.

i like this alot. as obsessed with the NISMO Z as i was at one time i was seriously thinking about starting a NISMO Z forum, but at the time the 370 wasnt out yet and i didnt know if they would even continue it past the 1600 or so 350's, so i didnt know how successful it could be... hopefully the NISMO is now a permanent model in the Z line up so the members/owner bumbers grow along with such a cool dedicated forum. who knows in a couple years i might pick up a NISMO 370 and be back in the ranks
