The 40th is a really nice deep grey, with almost a slate blue or purple tone (at least to my eye).

Gotta say, it's a beautiful -- and more distinctive than I had thought -- color.

Its all about the pearls and micas in the paint, that is what truly makes our colour! I personally know 3 guys who paint cars and they all say the same thing about our colour. I love it especially coming out to the car on nice night with the sun setting the 40th almost has 4-5 different colours in it depending on how you change the lighting or scenery. I love the KAV paint :tup: (normally I am always a black or white car guy but the 40th I had to have after seeing it)

I had no idea there was a difference until I saw them side by side. The 40th is just beautiful!

What is the specific name of the 40th's grey paint color ?

i love it when a car's paint can morph into different colors depending on the light & weather . . . there seems to be shades of violet or indigo in the 40th's paint.

Ya the sunset color on the 40th was the best.

Gun metallic still looks like regular old, pale, dried dog poop grey or as I like to call it, subaru grey. I can't believe people are saying its the same as the 40th. 40ths have beautiful almost color shifting paint. Nissan didn't screw any 40th anniversary owners, your eye doctor did.
