If your worried about resale value, then do lip kits and other tasteful mods that gives that premium look. I'd do lip kits, stillen gen 2, stillen catback, spacers, any quality coilovers and then whatever audio system you like. This way, the mods (most of it) can go to stock easily or you can have the buyer purchase the car along with the tasty mods.

If you do not care about resale like me, go all out and change s**t so often, swapping rims, body kits, etc to whatever I feel like. I changed my body kit twice, wheels 3 times, cbe twice, springs to coils to springs (lol dont ask), changed the steering wheel, vinyl'd the roof, slapped cf pillars and door handles, changed to 6k hid, led map lights, license plate, gtr start button, gen3, spacers and no spacers back and forth, changed rotors and pads, oil cooler, badged to fairladyz with 40th below it, I mean I could go more and more down the road and dont care what other folks say coz I'm damn happy to what I add to the car.

But, if you wanna go crazy but would like to go to stock later, why not rent a small storage to keep some stock parts around?

I would not do anything to a Nismo visually and only wheels on a 40th. As far as performance I would mod the piss out of them as with anything else.

Honestly I don't think 40ths will go for any more than sport packaged tourings. I'd say just mod it how you like.

There really isn't much more than color and I doubt people will give you thousands over the same car for color and badges

I would just do subtle mods that can be eventually taken off. The car looks great stock as it is.

I would think that if someone buys something as rare as the 40th, that they either wouldn't want to alter it drastically. Or buy 2 and go nuts...:ugh2:

IMO, I would modify the parts that are not specific to the 40th anniversary edition like the headlights/tail lights, engine mods, exhaust. It is easier to obtain those parts from a retailer if you decide to go back to stock vice going on a treasure hunt for 40th anniversary replacement parts.

I don't have a 40th but a limited edition chicane yellow and I mod the sh!t out of it. But I also keep the stock bumpers and stuff just in case i want to reverse.
