How did it feel on the drive home? Temps?

Footloose301 09-06-2011 08:55 AM

That's insane! 542whp!!!!

Can't wait until mine is there too.

Man we had some problems with my ac not working when the weather got really hot. My oil temp stayed around 220 but under the hood was crazyyyyyyyyy hot. My suggestion buy a bigger radiator. As long as I was moving everything was good but once i stopped or idled around a parking lot the ac would blow hot air and the engine started running funny. thankfully i have a vented hood. I pulled the drip pans off and no problems so far. I havent seen hot hot weather without the drip pans tho so well see but im 100 percent sure thats gonna fix the under hood heat problem. My oil temp dropped 10 degrees after we removed the drip pan. Car is fast as heck. Of course before the turbo theres 20 cars a day trying to race me. Now its done nobody wants none lol. heating if the main problem with these things because the turbo piping is huge. All in all im very happy with it.

I'm curious how this has affected your gas mileage?

If you decide to turbo, gas mileage is no longer on your mind lol

NickBaragona 10-03-2011 12:55 PM

Lol I know, I was just wondering if it only affected the gas mileage if you push it hard.

LafitteZ 10-04-2011 07:27 AM

nope the gas mileage if you drive around town normally went up and it went up about 4 mpg on the hwy. if you drive it like you stole it you will run through a tank farelly quickly. You have plenty gas to go drive and have plenty enough fun and drive home.

The mpg does not go up. If you are reading the stock mpg gauge, it is no longer accurate because you're running larger injectors.

Does it make sense to put 200lbs of equipment in your car and get a 4mpg increase?

you add a tune which is done perfectly for your motor only= horse power
Cold intake temps due to intercooler= horsepower
turbo spooling even when not in boost mean less restriction in the intake and more air density which means better combustion= horsepower
lightened flywheel= horse power
ALL this added up equal horsepower when you need it and better gas mileage when your driving normally!

o I forgot greddy turbo tic exaust and down pipes and underdrive pulley
