Still a new 40th on the lot!

Not sure if anyone is still looking for one of these, but Raceway Nissan in Riverside, CA still has a new 40th on their lot... just saying.

TreeSemdyZee 05-18-2011 11:14 AM

 I want.

DJ-of-E 05-18-2011 11:22 AM

Just to let you know, these 40th anniversary Z's are like a dime a dozen in California. Just don't expect good deals on them.

onzedge 05-18-2011 01:06 PM

This makes me want ot go to SoCal and get it so I'll have two.

this is a true statement... i tried buying it, but quickly realized that it wasn't worth the higher monthly payment for the color change.

One bargaining ship you might have is that that car has been sitting at the dealership for over a year... dealerships tend to not like that. They might've been a dime a dozen in 2010, but this far down the road, a new 40th isn't a dime a dozen anymore.

The special interior/exterior colors and of course the collectibility is worth it IMO.

thats a valid point too... and trust me I drove my wife crazy with talk like that. I've been trying to find peace in inperfection lately. I keep wanting the "perfect car" but im starting to realize that doesn't exist. its a machine that depreciates like anything else. ive been through a lot with my Z and i want to keep it around. plus i have a killer deal on the one i got... one that wouldnt be matched if i bought a brand new 40th...

Plus, it i was gonna drop $40k on a new car, it would likely be on a this:

Love the Raptors, totally agree about the depreciating asset aspect as well but unfortunately we're car guys and we always find justification ;)

Hi guys, been in the market for a 40th anniversary for months now, tried calling raceway nissan in riverside, but the salerep did not seem to know anything about a 40th anniversary edition, he kept mentioning other models. I greatly appreciate your input, need some suggestions on how to locate one.

I literally drove the thing a week or two ago... i'll drive by tomorrow to see if it is still there. try calling back again and talk to multiple people. salesman arent necessarily car people.

(951) 571-9300

Someone should know about that car considering it has been there so long.

PJ370 05-19-2011 05:39 PM

Thanks guys, appreciate your input. I'll give it another try.

Volcom370Z 05-19-2011 07:53 PM

Called them for ya... said they just sold the one that has been there forever but they found another one and are trying to get it...

TheGreatOne 05-21-2011 09:02 AM

Thats a sick truck...

As for the 40th, when I grabbed mine earlier this year...there for 2 guys, one of which drove 3.5 hrs to see if my credit would fall through when I went to sign, even though the dealer said it was a done deal lol...they wanted it bad....
