Extra's that come with my new 40th

Hi everyone! I luckily got a hold of a 40th yesterday finally!

Although technically I am the first registered owner it was a dealer demo car and was being driven by the owner of the dealership.

I just want to verify I'm not missing anything special that should have come with the car.

Example: I don't see the 40th anniversary license plate frames. I assume the keys do not say anything about the 40th anniversary as mine do not. Also the owners manual was missing and the one they gave me was out of a different car. Hoping these are all the same.

I did get the embroidered floor mats however.

Anyone think of anything I might be missing?

Should have received a 40th anniv. car cover also.

This. I would go back and make sure they didnt forget to give you this, or make them order you one.

Congrats on the purchase! :hello:

TheGreatOne 04-19-2011 05:51 PM

Ya, the car cover

I bought mine slightly used as well and there was no car cover, didn't know about it till I got on this site. I imagine the old owner kept it, I really should have went back to the dealer and made them do something for me

grrrrr

Nice purchase by the way!

djpathfinder 04-19-2011 07:11 PM

Did you not get the 1:12 scale pewter 40th Anniv model and the production number plaque with your car? :stirthepot:

Just kidding! :roflpuke2:

karotZ 04-19-2011 07:25 PM

Just make sure rims are gun metal / smoke, red calipers, 40th license frame, 40th satin black car cover, 40th rear badge, 40th engine strut bar, red seats w/ 40th badging, red interior stitches, alcantara door panels, commemorative 40th interior plaque, 40th carpets. While the extras like manuals, complete rear toolkit like jack, spare tire, etc. Last but not the least, check your tire pressure :stirthepot: . - Some, I repeat, some dealerships will throw in wheel locks for it.

I just bought mine slightly used with 1,400 miles on it from a dealer but it was missing the car cover. Does anyone know where I can get one other than Nissan? Hate overpaying for something by ordering from the car manufacturer. Does anyone have one for sale?

Nissan is going to be your best bet.

Ended up talking to the dealer. They are taking care of me and getting me both the car cover and missing license plate frame. The car only had one key when I got it and they are getting me a 2nd as well. My only other question was in regards to the owners manual. Can anyone on here confirm whether the 40th anniversary manual is any different from a standard 370z?

The manual they gave me was out of a different 370z since mine didn't have one inside.

Just curious.

Just went out to my car and checked, because I couldnt remember, but there is no difference, it is just a regular 2010 owner's manual.

Thank you BG!

It is good that they are making it right for you. Nice follow-up.

I had the same situation with mine, dealer owned w/ 6k miles, missing car cover and frame. They got me the cover in about 2 weeks. It's being stored with my mats. I found that my Technalon Car Cover i had for my 350 fits it perfectly also so im using that. Didn't make a fuss about the plate frame. Don't really like them anyway.

The cover that comes with the 40th is really, really nice. Perfect, glove fit.
Micro fiber backing. Terrific. For indoor use only.

Why indoor use only? I don't have a garage, but plan on getting a 40th 370Z. I need a car cover to protect it from the elements...

wheee! 07-01-2011 10:43 AM

Outdoor covers are heavier and bulkier. The indoor cover is like a negligee for you car... Keeps the dust off and the car is ready to go in seconds! I love mine.

NickBaragona 07-01-2011 11:54 AM

Is anyone on here forced to keep their 40th 370Z outside?

:iagree: with that but I would still let mine sleep in the garage if I had one! But that's why I'm moving next year around this time June-July. Must have a garage at new house!lol

NickBaragona 07-01-2011 08:10 PM

So those of you who do not have a garage like myself, did you buy an outside car cover? Any suggestions on a good one?

LMBmikeZ 07-01-2011 10:35 PM

Nope no car cover. Mine just gets stored nov 1st to may 1st! With the indoor cover that it came with. For the summer it takes on the elements!

xdeslitx 07-01-2011 10:52 PM

i use the indoor cover just because this damn cat likes to walk on my car

LMBmikeZ 07-02-2011 01:53 PM

Damn cats! Another reason why I am a dog lover! Lol.

You should get a paintball gun (or a .22 if u really don't like it) and scare the crap out of it! My bet is that will not be seen around your area to much more.
