Thanks, I only noticed it once. I live in nyc and we had an 80 degree day last week when it happened. I have the car only 3 months so I was concerned for the hot ny summer coming up....

I live in NY, when the heck did we have an 80 degree day? The hottest its gotten was about 60. I'm concerned about this as well as I have been told once summer rolls in you will see oil temps go up.

Anywayssss, back on topic. Last summer I was running my Z a lot. Within even about 10-15 mins of pushing the car hard, my temps were going crazy. I'm talking 240-260 or even more if I'm not mistaken. My solution; stillen oil cooler kit. Ever since then my temps have been perfect. They stay @ 180 and when I ran her hard in the summer, her max temp was around 210-220. Oil coolerkit = must have on our Z's.

You must be using a different form of checking temperatures that I am unaware of. I certainly wasn't sleeping. I believe the highest it's been was close to 70.

**** I even checked warmest day of 2011 so far in NY and they didnt mention anything about it being 80. You must have fallen asleep in a sauna or something. LOL

Anyway did you decide on an oil cooler.

My friend on march 18th it was 79 degrees in staten island and I am still deciding, might wait for another warm day and see the results

Correct -- an oil cooler is a must-have.
