Does the US spec'd 40th anni have navigation?
Just wondering. I thought I read somewhere that it doesn't.
What else does the 40th anni LACK vs a Touring plus sport? I would like a touring plus sport because I like all the comfort features and gadgets but I love the 40th anni Red interior. Wish the red interior was an option, I'm sure it will be for 2011 models. Pearl White with Red interior would be sweeeeeet! TIA fellas |
No Nav and that's the only thing missing...
|
I thought you can add nav since it's Touring model and all. Kinda sux

40 with NAV |
In Canada, the 40th is fully loaded, including nav. In the US, I thought it was an add-on. The Nissan USA site allows me to check nav if I wanted to.
|
The Canadian Anni's come with Nav ,day time running lights, rear fog light, and comes equipped with a spare I think those are the only differences between the Can/Am models.
My 40th did not come with splash guards, not sure if it was a option on Canadian models or not I wasnt given the choice, pretty sure I wouldn't have take them anyways . Do the US Annis's come with a spare tire or the repair kit? Do the Euro Blacks come with spare tires or the repair kit? Do the Japan Fairlady's come with spare tires or the repair kit? Do the Asian Anni's come with a spare or repair kit? |

jk, yea pretty sure nav's an option but i'd honestly go with an aftermarket setup given a choice. better sound quality FTW |
I hope the one at my local dealer has Nav. If not I guess aftermarket is the way to go.
Do the 49th annis come with lighted door sill plates? Which AFTERMARKET Nav unit is the best? |

Kenwood is pretty popular here on the forum but you can buy ANY 2 DIN aftermarket nav. |
Canadian Anni's didn't come with lighted door sills,at least mine didn't come equipped with them.
|
Ok here's the info I've gathered from searching for one:
The US 40th's are all alike, with two differences. Some come with splash guards from the factory. Unsure how many were produced with or without. Unsure about the illuminated kick panels. Haven't seen any with them factory installed. Anyone else?? NO US 40th's come with factory nav installed, and it is not an option. You can pay an arm/leg to get it installed...but is that worth it? All 40th's come with spare tires. Only Z's coming without are roadsters. |
illuminated sills are an option for all models...there's a DIY on the forum and doesn't look hard to do...or you could get the dealer to install it for you.

whoopsieeeee, I'm getting a lil ahead of myself, haha. 49th huh? No factory nav is just stupid since it's basically a touring+sport but whatever, I guess an aftermarket unit will have to suffice. Illuminated door sills I must have so I guess I can just order the parts and do it myself, if I even decide to go with the 370Z as there is another Z in mind and it ends in 06 decisons, decisions... |

I know you can add these on yourself, I was referring to factory installed option on the 40th. (on the window sticker) :ughdance: |

I do somewhat miss the integrated factory nav system like I have in my G35 and the other things you get with the nav package (hard drive, ipod integration, more custom settings). I love the 40th color combo and don't regret my decision but I for one would have paid $1800 more for the car with nav. I don't understand why Nissan made the decision to not offer it in the US. :shakes head:
On a side note because there were a couple questions about it in this thread... my 40th came with both factory installed splash guards and illuminated kick plates. It had an MSRP of $40,000 exactly which I thought was kind of funny. |

I wish the Canadian models came with the illuminated door sills then they would be perfect! between that and the tint and I would not have to add anything to my Z for the for the near future!

I know thx though..........Already in the works just hoping end of August on my B-day I get them!!!! cause if not by then I will be getting them myself..............ahhh who am I kidding once I have a lil money I know I'll buy them!!
Anyone want/need any 300zx parts???? lol----->fund my 370!!!:) |
My 40th didnt come with Nav system. I installed an after market pioneer AVIC-X920bt Nav/DVD with backup camera, love it and looks great.
|
Based on MSRP only, and I could do it over again, I might get the 40th, then aftermarket the nav.
I have the Nav which is virtually unused. The Music Box feature is my favorite part, and used every day. In my case the dealer reduced MSRP over $7,000 on mine and held more firmly on 40th. I am not wild about the red inside either, but could learn to warm-up to it someday. |
Stacy - can you take a pic of your Pioneer AVIC and show your config to us, please? I've got an AVIC as well and just wondering how other owners had installed theirs (top/inside compartment or bottom). Thanks!

go for aftermarket indash nav with all the fancy stuff :) I think this is way better than stock nav
|
For where I live the stock Nav works amazing, it is fast loading and finds everything I am looking for............handy for driving the GF around to stupid places lol.....(last weekend)
