New 40th Owner

1 Attachment(s)
I am the proud New Owner of a 40th Anniversary Z. I am build #374. 8900 miles, came from New Jersey, now in Louisiana. I have been a fan of the Z ever since I was a kid (my friends dad had one covered up in the garage) and am very blessed and thankful I am able to have this one in particular. I have some lofty modding goals but for now I am just going to enjoy the car and be thankful I have it. I don't have many pics yet but this is the day I picked it up and started the long journey home.

AV8rZ 03-30-2015 08:12 AM

Patience, luck, and timing. I've been looking for a year

Thanks to everyone for the welcome! Still learning to navigate this site and features. I will get more pics when I get to wash the car. Does anyone happen to know if there is a notification when someone responds to your thread? Had no idea anyone commented until I looked at it again

That's the miles mine had when I found it (back in 2011) :). Now, it has close to 21K and still loving every minute of it...

Thank you! I got a lot to learn

That is a great find! I never said how much I paid. I would have rather paid that! I missed out on a couple in Houston a few months ago that fit your cars description. I'm just wondering if that was one of them. Does it happen to have a scratch in the leather on the drivers seat where your right thigh would go? Toyota Dealer? I come to Houston a lot for work but I just couldn't get over there fast enough. Wasn't meant for me. Congratulations on your car too!

firulice 04-01-2015 03:58 PM

I got mine last December with 15k mi and paid 24k. In perfect condition and with upgrades :)

jmccarthy17 04-09-2015 02:42 PM

Congrats! I'm sad I found someone with lower miles than mine! I just hit 13k! haha! Hope you enjoy!

T.lynch 04-10-2015 06:58 AM

I paid 27.5k for my 40th with 3900 miles last April. I now have 22k miles . Nice find and congrats

AV8rZ 04-13-2015 12:15 PM

One thing I know for sure is that mileage won't last for long. It's definitely a catch 22 when you get one with this low of miles. The boy in me says go smoke the tires off this thing and the reasonable adult says keep the miles low. I'll be somewhere in between

If you don't mind me asking, approximately what did that beauty run you? I have one with about 3,500 miles on it and am just curious if they are holding value or not. I only drive mine on nice spring or summer days... And in Nebraska, those can be hard to come by!

She looks great and you will love her!

If this helps any of you, I bought mine in December 2013, with 3,500 miles, for $29,000 in California from a private seller.
