Feeler: 2010 Black Sport Pack 370z. 1800 miles

Gone!

akgambler47 08-16-2010 11:38 AM

Also, will have to look to see what exactly I got., but it has all the warranties. See 2009's with more miles going for over 30000$.

Jeffblue 08-16-2010 11:39 AM

i don't believe the warranties are transferrable. i sold my altima and had the warranty, and when i tried to transfer it, they just said i had to cancel it and they gave me the pro rated portion back.

If that is the same for this, that's lame!

They are transferrable, in the sense that if you sell the car, you can transfer it to the new owner. They do not transfer from car to car(ex: altima to 370z, due to price fluctuations im sure).

as far as warranties. unless nissan lied to me. you can't transfer the warranty to another owner. i wasn't talking about moving it from my altima to my Z. i meant moving it from ME for my altima to the new owner for the altima. they said couldn't be done. i'm getting my check for about 1300 of unused warranty in the mail any week now.

From Nissan's FAQ:

How do I transfer a Security+Plus agreement?

Obtain a Transfer Request from your dealer, and have it signed by both the current vehicle owner and the new owner. Mail this form to the address below, along with a copy of the vehicle maintenance history or a Security+Plus Inspection check sheet from your Nissan dealership. Also include any applicable transfer fee (depending on the state, in the form of a check or money order payable to Nissan North America). Allow 46 weeks for the transfer to take effect. A new agreement will be mailed to the new owner. Nissan Extended Services North America, P.O. Box 685004, Franklin, TN, 37068-5004.

Personally, i'd take the $1300 since I doubt the warranty would add that much anyways :P

haha gotta love dealers' misinformation. I can't complain. I sold the car for the same price i wuld have anyway b/c, i never told them there was warranty (i didn't want to mention it until i knew it was transferrable). now i have 1300 dollars in the pocket! :)

Only 10 more $500 price reductions to bring it into range! GLWS.

akgambler47 08-19-2010 01:13 PM

I could just go trade it in for that much. I'd say go look for 09's with more miles for 25000-26000.

Get it up on eBay, my friend!

akgambler47 08-20-2010 07:20 AM

Well, I may have too, but think I can trade it in and be happy. I checked out kbb and it said for 09's with same mileage can trade in for over 28000, and private party for 31300. So I think I can get a little bit more out of the dealer since its a year newer.

Take it in for a trade in appraisal. Swing over to a CarMax if you have one nearby before you go to the dealership. Dealers try to lowball you on trades, so it helps to have some ammunition.

That's a positive! Seems this low-volume car is holding value nicely. Supply and demand....
