2015 Nismo ACE Supercharged! 5,725 miles

I've made the decision to sell my Z. I'm getting older, and it's just too much money to be sitting in my driveway...not being driven. I see in the rules for posting in this section that it's required to upload at least one photo. Well, I tried and tried, and kept getting an error. The photo was reduced in size, so I don't understand why it wouldn't work. I've uploaded 20+ photos to the Autotrader ad, here's the link: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=646905520

I've set the price at $45K. I checked the other Nismos on Autotrader, and similar cars, with no upgrades and more mileage, have selling prices around $40K. For what is offered, I think I've added a fair premium.

I was very surprised to see that Auto Check showed an "accident" -- on 10/10/2018. There was no accident on that date. It was when we were hit with Hurricane Michael, and the car was included in our homeowner's claim. That's it. There are two small abrasions where shingles from our roof hit the car, but they are very difficult to see. If the car cover hadn't blown off, it would have been fine, but fat chance of that in 150+mph winds!

The car is pearl white, and currently has 5,725 miles on it. There are about 600 miles on the ACE kit. I just had it dynoed about a month ago, and it turned in 609hp/497tq Dynocom STD @89F. Dynocom gives results lower than DynoJet, but higher than Mustang. The guy running the dyno estimated that a DynoJet would probably read 640hp or so, and a Mustang 560-570hp. It was remotely tuned by Sebastian Chacoff at SpecialtyZ, and requires 93-octane. The guy who did the install knows Seb personally, and Seb commented to him how easy this car was to tune -- he said they get nightmares in the SpecialtyZ shop! There are actually two maps in the tune, but Map #2 is for ambient temps below 80F, and the only way to test that would be in the wintertime. I think Seb must have slightly altered the timing curve for the second map, although, as I said, it would require cooler temps to test. Map #1 is beyond the capabilities of the rubber as it is!

It has a complete return fuel system with HD fuel pump and modified sending unit (Charles at CJ did the mod), 1050x injectors, GTR plugs, ZSpeed Stage 2 Street Clutch w/HD CSC, Motordyne ART pipes, 2.5" mid and X-pipe, Michelin PS4S 275/35 ZR19 front, 305/30 ZR19 rear. It's never been launched. The clutch is awesome...it's perfectly-sized and civilized, too.

Everything is dialed-in and running perfectly. PLUS: custom fitted car cover, Uniden R3 wired direct, old parts including exhaust and catalytic converters.

The car is unbelievably fast! As other forced-induction Z-car owners know, the problem is traction -- even though I have 305s on the rear. It will break the rear wheels loose halfway through 4th gear. In order to get the best acceleration times, you must perfect the 2-4 shift.

I'm located in the Florida panhandle.

Just wanted to give everyone a big head's up if you're selling a car on Autotrader. I just had a guy try to run a scam on me. It makes me mad, because I wasted half the morning texting back and forth, then finally convinced him to call me. It was an Asian dude...could hardly understand him because of the accent. He wanted to buy the car sight unseen, and send me a cashier's check for MORE than the amount of the car, so I would pay his "shipper" who would load the car and allegedly bring it to him. He stopped communicating when I refused to take responsibility for paying the shipper. I'm a bit naive to scams, perhaps, and didn't suspect anything at the beginning, but this didn't pass the smell test. I searched Autotrader, and they actually have a scam page that details this very scam.

Also, there was a problem with the listing wizard on Autotrader, and it catalogued my car as a "coupe" instead of a NISMO. Their IT department will have that fixed in a couple of days.

Man. This is tempting. Would love to get back into a nismo, and a SC one at that.

I can't believe I was so far off in estimating the current used car market! Price drop to $38,000.

I can't edit the subject line on this thread, so I'm updating here to reflect the new mileage of 5,778 miles. I had to drive into town to replace the battery, and also had a short "demonstration drive" for an interested party a few days ago. The new battery is a DieHard Platinum AGM, which comes with a three-year transferable warranty. It has at least 650 cold cranking amps, enough to easily handle the additional load from the supercharger.
