Did you commission the turbo build? Are you the first owner?

The first owner kept the car stock for most of its life. The second owner was a mechanic that modified it as a weekend project car, and eventually sold it which is when I came into possession. I had the turbo sent back to Comp Turbos to be rebuilt with a fresh bearing kit and to install a better coolant tap. I had the new clutch/flywheel kit put in and the transmission cracked and inspected as a precaution since I am not the original owner. I've also had compression tests, injector tests, smoke tests, head gasket check after buying the car which were all clean.

@dsmitty, could you elaborate how was the transmission crack. Was it due to the previous owner?

I think what he means is as a precautiory measure transmission was cracked open to inspect the internals. I could be wrong though.
